"White Urvashi & Pururavasa -3 Midnight saw the celestial musicians carry off the lambs! The lambs naturally bleated. The noise woke Urvashi who in panic woke up her husband to see what the matter was! This is what the Gandharvas were waiting for. Indra focused a spotlight of thunder -light on Pururavasa! Urvashi caught sight of the disrobe king. All was lost. Urvashi bleakly informed Pururavasa that he had broken the conditions and she had to leave. He begged her to stay but she did not relent. Devastated, Pururavasa began to pray to Lord Vishnu. He prayed for numerous years, strictly following rigid penances. Ultimately, Vishnu was pleased and he granted Urvashi back to him!
