OCEANS OF STRUGGLES
In weariness, my Lord, I bend my knee,
No strength to bear this burden laid on me.
The ocean of my struggles knows no end,
Yet another vast sea I must wend.
Take this life, oh Lord, I plead no more,
I've begged and hoped, now on this distant shore.
My limbs are tired, my spirit worn and frayed,
I can't go on, I've lost the strength to wade.
The weight of trials, burdens to bear,
Endless waves, I struggle, despair.
Each day a battle, fierce and long,
I yearn for peace, where I belong.
I Thought the trials would cease, the pain would end,
Yet still I face this vast and stormy bend.
Mercy seems a distant, fleeting dream,
I surrender now, my soul, it seems.
No more the strength to rise above this tide,
No breath to muster, in this storm I hide.
Oh Lord, in weariness, I now release,
Grant me your peace, let this striving cease.
Take this life, oh Lord, I plead no more,
I've begged and hoped, now on this distant shore.
