ତଳକୁ ଦେଖିଲେ
ଭାଵ ତମେ ନିଜ ଗୋଡରେ
ଛିଡା ହେଇ ଉଚ୍ଚ ସ୍ବପ୍ନ ଦେଖୁଚ
ଥରେ ଭାବିଚ କି,
ଏ ମାଟି ତମକୁ ବଢେଇଚି ଵୋଲି।
ମାଟିର ସ୍ପର୍ଶ ଏଡାଅନା,
ତମକୁ ସେ ତମେ କରି ବାଢିଚି,
ଦିନେ ତମେ ତମ ଆରମ୍ଭ
ସ୍ଥାନକୁ ବାହୁଡିବ ଯେ,
ଗୋଟେ କଠିଣ ମଣିଷ ଅପେକ୍ଷା
କୋମଳ ଅବତରଣ ବରଂ ଶ୍ରେୟସ୍କର

THE ENEMY INSIDE
When you touch the sky,
Look at the ground below
That made you stand
On your feet and dream high.
Be aware of the earth that groomed you.
Never lose touch with it
That made you what you are.
One day you are to come down
From where you started.
Better to have a soft landing
Instead of a hard one.
Heaven or hell,
Go wherever you want to.
But never carry your ego with you.
Climb the ladder of success,
But leave your ego at the wrung lowest
Coz you will be always under its spell.
It will create a barrier between you and others.
You will remain under the shadow of the ego
And compel others to come under its sway.
A chain reaction will follow.
The net result is a clash of egos,
Each trying to get the better of the other.
Look at it!
Your biggest enemy is deep inside,
The biggest hurdle on the path of a better life
Get the better of it,
Channelise it for a purpose,
Good and noble,
Before the whole world turns your enemy.
Before it kills the man in you,
Take care of it.
Realise! ego and self-esteem
are not the same things.
While self-esteem introduces
You to yourself,
Ego makes you a completely
Different man, a rogue in fact
Let love, empathy and trust
Guide you to action
Never let your ego speak
When ego leads from the front
One sees nothing but his ego
In different guises in different persons
It becomes a war of each against all
And in all with whom one interacts,
Encounters nothing
But his ego In various forms.
