Losing my parents feels like a slow death
A pain that never truly fades
A void that cannot be filled
Their absence is a constant ache
A reminder of the love I've lost
Death would be a relief
An end to this unbearable sorrow
A release from the loneliness
Of living without their laughter
And guidance, always there to borrow
But I must go on
Forced to navigate this world alone
To carry their memory in my heart
And find a way to cope
With the unbearable weight of their departure
Death may seem like a welcome escape
But I must find the strength to endure
To honor the love they gave
And live a life they would be proud of
Even though it feels better to join them in the grave.
