In the depths of my heart, I once thought I was sm | English Poetry Vi

"In the depths of my heart, I once thought I was smart, But I was ignorant of love. I thought I knew it all, But I stumbled and fell, When love came calling. I pushed it away, Thinking it was just a game to play, But I was ignorant of love. I thought I could control, The feelings deep in my soul, But I was fooling myself. For love is a force, That cannot be tamed or coerced, And my ignorance blinded me. Now I see the error of my ways, And I am filled with regret each day, For ignoring the beauty of love. I long to feel its warmth, To be enveloped in its embrace, And to bask in its glory. But my ignorance has cost me dear, And now I am left with nothing but tears, Wishing I had known the power of love. ©gopi kiran "
