I make a heart-shaped pizza.
You are a name on my tongue I do not speak.
June is taking over now, I roll down a hill like a little kid. And I put
the oven on
450 and, take a sip of
lemon water and, Tell the window that I am still figuring out
what it means to
be me. And someone
asked me one time what I believe in and what I said is: Breaking.
They asked me to tell them more, to tell them everything, so I said:
I don't know. I don't know, but I'll try
to explain, like, I believe in powdered donuts that make a mess
and cups of tea so warm
that every sip makes me think of hands, and,
I believe in tank tops, the ones made of satin, fabric so soft that it
reminds me of my favorite first kiss, and,
I make a heart-shaped pizza and, Who am I, honestly? Lavender
oil on my palm and,
I forget you in pieces,
slices and, Dream about the summer like, June, tell me,
should I resist the
change?
