Hockey finals The crowd cheers ,Two teams at their best Final game of seven ,They have beaten the rest The players pumped ,Six games are now gone Three wins for each ,Now they must finish the run The score - two two ,Six minutes are left A faceoff set to start ,The puck is dropped by the ref Home team wins the draw , Back to the blue line The defence move forward ,The pass to the wing is fine Along the boards to find a lane ,To make a good play A pass to the right ,The shot is wide by a long way The visitors have recovered , And make their move Now five minutes remain ,They have something to prove Up the ice they make the charge , A sweet pass to center Just like the playbooks , Into the offensive zone they enter A swift move back to the middle ,The perfect shot ready Sets and shoots away ,A save , man that goalie is steady Down to three minutes in the game ,The away team hustles A winger gets the puck , Shoots again with all his muscle Again a save , totals twenty five ,This time the home defence Recovers the round disk , The energy gets real tense Up they go to try it again ,They pass the blue line In the away teams zone , Now forty five seconds to grind He finds some space to shoot , A snap shot to the right Over the goalies glove , Into the net , what a sight! The game almost over now , Another faceoff looms Away goalie pulled , But the home crowd booms Twenty five seconds remain ,The intensity grows Home team lost the draw , the energy shows A quick pass to center ,He skates in hard Up to the other end , Home team is on guard Fifteen seconds has passed now , A few seconds remain Trying to avoid a mistake , And to win the final game Three two one , the horn goes , Home team has won Worn and so tired now , But the objective is done © Schizology ©Schizology
