Monday September 2nd 2024 Today is a bit chilly outside with the wind I'm wearing a jacket now as I type this out The breeze is very cool right now out here This may be a sign of winter coming about Slowly and quietly the leaves are changing From the green all summer into fall colours Red , orange , yellow and shades of brown A view such as this could not get any fuller The second day of September has arrived Closer to the cold and frigid air from the north The arctic air is very cold to say the least Some wish to be where it's warm , at a resort I like the cooler weather in winter very much No sweating , no heat , mosquitoes gone too Ants and other insects all disappear in winter But you may see the occasional one it's true Fresher air to inhale and you breathe easier It can be a bit slippery but sometimes it's fun Hills and slopes are a bit tricky to traverse But going down is always exciting a tonne ©Schizology

I write..... 2021 I'm sitting outside while I write In a couple hours it will be daylight Rain has been falling overnight Now everything is wet in sight The chill in the air has a bite Cover up in your blankets tight Seeing this weather will not excite But I have a hot coffee to my delight The caffeine gets my brain to ignite In my head I read over and recite Maybe I can give a bit of insight My stomach feels like it's in a dogfight Perhaps its time to tend to my appetite My belly sometimes is not very polite I will end this and I will take flight As for now I will go back inside ©Schizology

Friday July 19th Friday morning and it's a bit chilly My phone reads twelve celsius I am wearing a long sleeve shirt A big relief from the heat previous A motorcycle idles at the lights Green it flashes and a rumble Off the bike goes up the hill The joys of the morning hustle Several cars are passing now too It is seven nineteen in the morning Some go to work others go shopping Engines revving by and roaring I have a coffee with me as usual A morning without coffee is criminal A cup of java to perk me right up I drink it like I'm on a schedule A Friday morning and it's early Someone cutting grass nearby A lawnmower is really quite loud Make them quieter I'm trying to imply ©Schizology

Wednesday July 17th Today is Wednesday the seventeenth The rain fell yesterday almost all day Thunderstorms and heavy rainfall I bet some things were washed away Much cooler now than it has been Lately the humidity has been brutal Scorching sun with nearly no wind Those temperatures are so hostile Im sitting on the porch writing this A cigarette in my hand burning up A drag here and there is sufficient Until all that's left is the smoke butt Traffic is steadily increasing more Cars and trucks and a few motorbikes Traveling to work for most I assume Stopping at all of the red streetlights This poem is just about finished I think My smoke is at the end of it's mission I will put it out and return inside again And none of this here writing is fiction ©Schizology
