क्या मिली आज़ादी भारत माँ को बीते पचहत्तर सालों में।।
पहले अंग्रेज गोरे थे, अब कुछ गोरे कुछ काले हैं,
ईमानदारों का जीना मुश्किल है, बेईमानों के बोल बाले हैं।
आज भी औरंगजेब बसा है हर भारतीयों के ख़्यालों में,
क्या मिली आज़ादी भारत माँ को बीते पचहत्तर सालों में।।
उस पेड़ को ही बिसराते हैं बैठे जिस पेड़ की डाली पे,
वो ईमान बहा दिया करते सियासतों की गंदी नाली में।
देशद्रोह की बू आती है उनकी गंदी चालों से,
क्या मिली आज़ादी भारत माँ को बीते पचहत्तर सालों में।।
इस पवित्र भूमि पर अब वे ढोंग रचाया करते हैं,
ढेरों में कुछ बाबा अपनी हवस मिटाया करते हैं।
अब प्रभु भी मिलते नहीं मस्जिद और मंदिरों में,
क्या मिली आज़ादी भारत माँ को बीते पचहत्तर सालों में।।
स्तर गिर रहा राजनीति का, खुद संसद भी शर्माती है,
गीता और कुरान भी अब तो वोट बैंक में आती है।
वो शहादत पे भी कर लेते सियासत मुआवजों के हवाले से,
क्या मिली आज़ादी भारत माँ को बीते पचहत्तर सालों में।।
जो सीमा पर वतन के खातिर अपने प्राण गवाया करते हैं,
बस झंडा ऊँचा रहे हमारा, ये अरमान सजाया करते हैं।
शिकती है रोटियाँ उनके ही चिताओं के उजालों से,
क्या मिली आज़ादी भारत माँ को बीते पचहत्तर सालों में।।
ना तो बंदूक उठानी है, ना तो तलवार चलानी है,
मुझे इस पूरी जनता को बस एक ही बात समझानी है
कि बस हिन्दुस्तान बसाना है हर भारतीयों के ख़्यालों में,
तब मिलेगी आज़ादी भारत माँ को, आगामी कुछ सालों में।।

Sometimes we are doing it even though we know that some things are wrong. We don't want to believe our own words. Due to our feelings, we do not see the truth in front of us and go on flowing without stopping ourselves. But perhaps by stopping at that juncture, we should explain ourselves. Because closing your eyes doesn't change the truth and you may never be able to forgive yourself after those mistakes. It is not right to listen to the heart every time because when the heart falls ill, it is the brain that gives better advice. ©Me_Reshma
